The target of International Vocational language learning –project (ProVocLingua) is to offer the language teachers at Omnia and language teachers at our EU-partner colleges possibili-ties to do job-shadowing and become internationalized within the framework of European vocational training. The core of the project is to improve vocational language teaching, mother tongue and native language as second language included, benchmarking. The teach-ers involved in the project will engage themselves to continuous vocational development. It will contain integrating vocational aims and language teaching. The new guidance skills of the teacher, interactive teaching, non-formal learning together with information technology, teaching immigrants and guiding different learners will be central themes of pedagogical dis-cussions. During the visit a half-structured questionnaire will be filled in and as a result com-parison material will be gathered. The summary will be central material when distributing the results in the capital region among the studia-generalia peer groups.

Language proficiency, familiarity with foreign cultures and understanding the possibilities of using the net in language teaching will be extended, because the in-house language of the project will be English and the teachers involved will study the elements of each language in the project. Moodle platform will be used for training, for follow-up and for communication.

Facts and experience about innovative Ready-Study-Go- net-learning material co-ordinated by Omnia will be spread. At this moment the material contains five languages and, in addi-tion to general language, vocational basic learning material in tourism, catering and baking business. During the project new possible RSG-partnerships will be mapped (more lan-guages, more professions).

The target countries will be Iceland, France, Germany, (two different partners), Slovenia, Germany and Greece. They represent both loyal, old partners and new networks and they differ from each other: big and small, youth and adult education, traditional and new organisations. The lan-guages involved are many. The project will last for two years: the first visit will be during the first six months following the approval of the project and the following visits at intervals of about 3 months.
