Improve your speaking and communicative skills in an active discussion group in a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere, where the focus is on gaining confidence and fluency. Discussion will be based on material given to study at home beforehand, so everyone can prepare at their own pace for discussion in class. There will also be scope for students to bring along or suggest their own topics for discussion. We will discuss topical issues from a variety of sources, to provide plenty of new words and expressions. Material will be taken from authentic sources and be based not just on reading input, but may also involve listening to a brief podcast, for example. We may briefly pick up on a few grammar and other points if needed. After the course, you should be more confident of maintaining a conversation in English and your vocabulary should be many new words richer.
