The course book Perspectives teaches learners to think critically and you will develop the language skills you will need to find your own voice in English. The carefully guided language lessons, real-world stories and Ted Talks will motivate you to think creatively and communicate effectively. Every unit explores one idea from different perspectives, giving you opportunities for practicing language as you look at the world in new ways. You will acquire the critical thinking skills and strategies you need to evaluate new information and develop your own opinions and ideas worth sharing.
Topics include global solutions to global challenges, leadership for successful schools and elegant transportation systems for the future inspired by human biology. Grammar includes modal verbs of permission and obligation, passive -ing (gerund) forms and infinitives, ellipsis and substitution, and nominalization.
This is a hybrid teaching course, which allows you to participate remotely or to attend physically in the classroom according to your choice.
