English (EN1) at 1 Lakelankatu, Autumn 2023

This is an obligatory English course of 2 competence points. The aim of the course is to:

- Use a foreign language in different interactive situations

The student

manages oral interactive situations
produces messages needed in interaction
discusses their work tasks
produces texts related to their vocational field
interprets texts related to their vocational field
assesses and develops their language proficiency

- Act in a linguistically and culturally diverse environment

The student

knows how the language and culture they are studying affect interactive situations
communicates in a multilingual and multicultural environment
encounters people on an equal basis and with appreciation

The course begins on Monday the 14th of August and it ends on Friday the 13th of October, 2023. There is an exam at the end of the course. No English classes on Friday the 22nd of September. I have a core subjects developing day then.
